When I was a tiny damsel, my Mother did one thing to me that was practically blamable! She cut my hair absolutely short. I am aware you may well have been expecting something more serious, but that was it. I was about 4 or 5 years old…and for a young daughter this was not a great thing. Almost every single time we went out, another person would perpetually say, “What a cute little boy!” How anyone could misinterpret my sweet face for a boy is beyond me…but anyhow, occasionally I think having a “boy” cut at such an early age scarred me.
When I was in school I grew my hair relatively long and got a perm. Yes, a perm. I had poodle hair and I presumed it looked good! In hind sight, I can see I was inaccurate.
When I was 23, my hairdresser influenced me to cut my hair and she took off considerably more than I was comfortable with. I had a short hair cut once again! I do have one positive thing to say about it though: short hair happens to be wash and go, which is good for those hectic mornings when you just need to run out the door. Furthermore, if you get a very tasteful cut, it can look lovely!
Ultimately I grew it long again, cut it chin length and had a lovely little bob. I missed my longer hair though so now I am in the process of growing it long yet again. Why so much hair discussion today? Well, I don’t know about you, but for me, my hair has consistently been a majorly critical part of my look and I wanted to give you a small amount of my hair history. Come on, who departs the house without doing their hair? I’ve tried using a multitude of products to help my hair look its best, trashed them, then tested some more. Sometimes, it’s a never-ending adventure!
Obviously, I have incredibly high requirements when it comes to my hair treatments. Not just anything will do. I ditched the SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) laced stuff a long time ago, so my hair has already gone through a detox period, which yours will too if you choose to convert to a healthy shampoo. It’s still generally tough to find a secure and efficient natural shampoo that doesn’t make your hair feel weighted. Well I discovered it, folks and I am going to talk about my experiences with today’s hair care review!
At the start, when I envisaged doing a review of Original Sprout’s Worry Free Luxury Line, I was undecided. I thought it was just for children, but then I did a touch more research and came across that their products were formulated for babies and up…just right for me considering that I, and most of us, are a part of the “up” kind! But I likewise made the choice to do this assessment considering I know numerous families who are pregnant or have children and are bothered about the toxic compounds in their coming offspring’s personal care products. So my testing of Original Sprout began! I was able to sample 4 products from their Worry Free Luxury Line, for example three hair products and one body cream. The one factor that struck me aside from the fact that just about all the ingredients are organic, natural and 100% vegan, was the fragrance. I despise it when holistic products have a formidable, perfumey odor. I once did fancy the odor of lavender in my skin care…but when it’s excessive, it can be horrifying! This is not the way it is with Original Sprout. The products are scented with a completely fabulous, clean, and crisp scent that isn’t sickening at all and came naturally from essential oils. They made my hair smell clean for several days and I appreciate good smelling hair! Read through on for more…
Original Sprout Natural Shampoo
Ok, aside from the scent, what else makes this shampoo different? Take a look at these stats:
Comprises no xenoestrogenic essential oils for those oversensitive to them, such as lavender
Good for color treated hair because it helps keep your color
No mock colors or dyes
Mild on eyes (truly no more tears)
Gluten, soy, and peanut free
When I utilized it, I actually saw my hair’s health shine through. It claims to be “anti-frizz” and it is! I’ve never seen my hair behave like this before, especially in the South Florida high heat. My hair typically will begin the day behaving but by 3:00 is frizzy. Not this time! It’s also SLS free yet still foams properly, allowing you to truly purify your hair of all the dust, oil, and pollution it takes in through the day. I also like that it’s for sensitive skin, so you know it will be great to use on baby! The only downfall: the bottle is 33 ounces (a pretty nice size) and typically costs $42.95. Do you imagine that’s a lot? Not really, when you consider you’re buying a completely nontoxic natural product and it comes out to only about $1.30 per ounce! Another possible way to save a bit on cost: you can purchase a sample pack before you shell out $43 for the big bottle (or get the 12 ounce for $19.50.) They’re suggesting a 3 piece set which includes a 4 ounce shampoo, conditioner, and spf sample for only $11.99. This is just a summer special so get in on it while you still have the chance!
Original Sprout Deep Conditioner
I have incredibly tangly hair…generally after I shampoo, I apply conditioner, leave it in for a bit, and comb it through before rinsing. Even following doing this, I still have trouble getting the comb through. Not with this fantastic conditioner. I was able to comb my hair very easily! It smells awesome and is rich in moisturizing components such as:
Kukui Seed Oil
Organic Chamomile
Organic Rosemary
Organic Arnica Montana
Original Sprout Miracle Detangler
When I saw they had a detangler, I was excited given that I have such tangly hair and also because I know a lot of young children do too (mainly girls.) The most terrible thing when you’re a youngster is feeling the discomfort when your mom tries to comb your hair through soon after your bath. This detangler actually is a miracle! It’s a lightweight cream in a spray form. Right after you spray it on, the brush glides instantly through the toughest tangles. The added benefits is it also gives you extra conditioning to the hair. Many children’s detanglers contain harmful toxins which include formaldehyde and lye. This one contains absolutely nothing damaging or artificial and can safely be used on your children. A 4 ounce bottle is $11.50 (very worth it) and the larger 12 ounce is $18.71. It can last quite some time if you don’t overdo it, which I encourage because too much may help to make your hair oily. Here’s just a few of the ingredients:
Rosemary
Basil
Vitamin B
Organic Cranberry
Original Sprout Sumptuous Baby Cream
I basically centered on the hair care products for this review, but I also used this baby cream and listen to this, it’s not simply for babies! It also has that wonderful clean scent and is so jam-packed with fabulous ingredients for baby and you, such as:
Coconut Oil
Zinc
Calendula
The coconut oil moisturizes delicately and the zinc and calendula have a comforting effect. It couldn’t be better for baby’s hurtful diaper rashes. It absorbs promptly and really helps to heal skin problems. Now I don’t have a baby, but I used it on myself, particularly when I had a rash from shaving on my legs. I used it for a few days and it soothed the burning and minimized the bumps. This is a fantastic cream for baby, mom, and dad as well!
Review of Hair Care: Let’s Finish Up!
I was happy with these products and would not be afraid to get them for myself and my upcoming kids! I’ve done lots of natural hair care reviews and enjoyed the products I reviewed, but not often do I think highly of them so much that I will repurchase for myself. They are not just a haircare and baby cream company. They also offer sunscreen I want to try, other products for little ones, products for kids and young adults, and a newly released Tahitian Collection, including hair oil, and spf. What a way to get a tiny bit of the islands into your daily life! You can buy the products on line or in certain retailers around the world. Have a look at their online portal and read some of their success stories…all I can say is, gratitude, Original Sprout for caring about what you put into your products and making products that really succeed!
